My name is Steve Austin. I started my career in the housing sector nine years ago, training at two companies of chartered surveyors and qualifying as a home inspector, a domestic and commercial energy assessor. Over this period I have surveyed thousands of homes to assess condition, value, insulation, and energy efficiency.

A large number of properties I've seen have suffered from damp, condensation, mould and poor air quality. It seemed to me that air quality in many homes has been unintentionally made worse over the years by a number of trades making repairs or improvements. It became apparent that a number of small changes can add up to a big change in air quality.

I didn't feel that the market for improving air quality in the home was being adequately addressed. So, since 2010 we have developed a range of systems and techniques to provide subtle ventilation and gentle background air movement in an energy efficient way. We've seen the benefits it brings in removing condensation, damp and mould. As well as improving the environment for occupants - usually very noticeable for residents with respiratory problems.

What we won't do is install a remedial damp proof course. There are numerous companies that will do this work - although some would say that it is often of limited value and ineffective.

We are not a franchise and so not required to sell equipment from a single manufacturer. That means we are free to recommend the mix of systems that will produce the best results for your home.
