Landlord Zone

Keeping in touch with your tenants and keeping your property in good condition is not only good practice but helps ensure your property stays occupied for longer.

It is often the case that we are invited to a property when the tenants have reached the end of their tether and are actively looking to move. The tenant / landlord relationship has broken down and the tenant feels the condensation, damp, and mould have left created unacceptable living conditions.

When tenants leave a house because of condensation and mould the landlord usually faces three problems:

  • The property requires redecoration before it can be re-let
  • The property is empty and earning no rental income.
  • When the next tenants move in the problem is likely to return.

Simple mould eradication measures are a temporary solution. Installing a dehumidifier, cleaning off mould and using a 'mould resistant' paint are examples of short-term fixes that can be helpful but do not address the source of the problem.

Your tenants probably don't want to move - it's as inconvenient for them as it is for you. We aim to provide a 'tenant friendly' solution that will keep them in the home, keep them happy, and paying the rent!
